Sant’Anna Institute was founded in 1998. It has evolved into an international community where Italian and foreign students of all ages and from all corners of the globe can come together to exchange ideas, cultures and projects. It started by providing Italian and cultural courses to foreigners and then added foreign languages. Sant’Anna Institute enjoys collaborative relationships with American and other foreign universities.

The Premium Educational Content classification is for programs specifically designed with a high educational content for Australian schools in conjunction with TETC’s exclusive Education Partners in New Caledonia and Europe

  • Offer your students quality Italian language lessons at a long established and recognized local education provider, based on specific Curriculum requirements.  A visit to a local High School and a program delivered by qualified teachers.
  • Offer authentic Cross-curricular programs for Ancient and Modern History, Art, Geography, Latin, Studies of Religions lessons conducted in English relevant to their Key Learning Area and taught by certified teachers.
  • Offer classes in English for 100% non-language students groups
  • TETC programs are developed in collaboration with our Curriculum & Education Advisor, a qualified teacher with decades of experience. TETC closely liaises with teachers to tailor make lessons  for their students’ level of ability, interests and your relevant topics and outcomes.
  • Smaller class sizes for individualized attention – students are grouped into 2 diverse levels of ability depending on their language level. For cross-curricular groups, other subjects are taught in English in separate classrooms.
  • Accommodation in a quality hotel within walking distance from school
  • Local operators and accommodation providers are carefully selected by our European representative office. We only use minimum 2 stars hotels for the comfort and safety of your group, unless specifically requested otherwise.
  • All dinners are always included – food quantity and quality are equivalent to adult groups’ standards.



  • You are busy teaching. Send us your risk assessment document and we will complete the tour section for your perusal. We are familiar with our overseas venues, hotels and locations and able to cover more details. This will assist you with all important H&S angles.
  • A school tour is no teacher’s holiday, you are on duty 24×7: Teachers are accommodated in single hotel rooms, unless specifically requested otherwise.
  • All dinners are always included – looking for a restaurant able to accommodate a group is NOT something you want to experience with a group of hungry teenagers at the end of a long and exciting day.


Your Itinerary:

Assemble at Airport where you will meet your TETC representative. Depart Australia for Milan

Arrive Milan at 07:15 AM and meet your TETC Representative. Board your private coach and transfer to the hotel. Receive a 1-day metro pass.

Arrive at hotel and check in. Take the metro for a guided tour of Il Duomo (admission included). An exceptionally large and elaborate Gothic cathedral on the main square of Milan, the Duomo di Milano is one of the most famous buildings in Europe. It is the largest Gothic cathedral and the second largest Catholic cathedral in the world. The roof climb provides a unique and memorable opportunity to walk high on the roofs of the huge Gothic cathedral. The views are magnificent and the opportunity to see the pinnacles and sculptures along the way is worth the climb alone. Take the metro back to your hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel before checking out.

Coach transfer to Venezia Mestre via Padua. Visit the Basilica di Sant’Antonio  in Padua (admission included). Enjoy lunch and this lovely city before continuing onto Venezia Mestre. Arrive at your hotel and check in. Late afternoon at leisure.

Group to assemble for departure in the hotel lobby.

Board your coach for morning transfer to Venice. Board your ferry from Tronchetto to St Mark’s / Gabrielli Day at leisure in Venice. Lunch by own arrangement.

Venice is a city unlike any other. No matter how often you have seen it in photos and movies, the real thing is more dreamlike than you could imagine. The fabulous palaces and churches reflect centuries of history in what was a wealthy trading centre between Europe and the Orient.

Return ferry from St Mark’s / Gabrielli to Tronchetto.

Board your coach and transfer back to Mestre.

Overnight in Venezia Mestre

Breakfast at your hotel then check out.

Group to assemble for departure in the hotel lobby. Board your coach to transfer to Florence via Bologna where you will stop for lunch. Take some time to visit the old city centre. Bologna is a medieval town, home to one of the world’s oldest universities, and it is one of the best places to sample the cheeses, cured hams and vinegars that originate in the area! Later this afternoon, board your bus to continue to Florence. Check in your hotel.

This morning you visit San Miniato al Monte Church and Piazzale Michelangelo.

San Miniato Church stands atop one of the highest points in the city. It has been described as one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most scenic churches in Italy.

San Miniato was an Armenian Prince serving in the Roman army under Emperor Decius. He was denounced as a Christian after becoming a hermit and was brought before the Emperor. He was beheaded in the presence of the Emperor. It is alleged that san Miniato picked up his own head, crossed the Arno River and walked up the hill of Mons Fiorentinus to his hermitage. After lunch, visit of Palazzo Vecchio, the Town Hall of Florence. Built at the end of the 1200s to the building was originally called the Palace of the Priors and housed the city government that, up until then, used to meet at the homes of Florence’s most powerful families. It’s extremely high tower, known as Arnolfo’s Tower, 94 metres high, is second only to the dome of the Cathedral.

Take the metro to meet your local guide outside the Metro station: Colosseo.

Guided tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum (admission included).

The magnificent Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill are both located in the same archaeological area. The Roman Forum was the key political, ritual, and civic centre of Rome.

It provides important insights into the phases and processes associated with urbanism in ancient Rome. The Palatine Hill is the centremost of the Seven Hills of Rome and is one of the most ancient parts of the city. You can walk down to the Trevi Fountain and have lunch nearby before exploring that part of the city. Back to your hotel with your metro pass.

Breakfast at your hotel. Using your metro pass, make your way to the Vatican City. There are two metro stops on Red Line A within 10 minutes-walk of Vatican City – Ottaviano and Ciprio. The latter is marginally closest to the Vatican Museums and both stations are named “San Pietro” in addition to Ottaviano and Ciprio. Meet your local guide at the entrance of Vatican Museums. Guided tour of the Vatican Museums (admission included). Grab lunch then take the metro back to your hotel. Check out then board your coach to travel to Sorrento.

This morning take a short walk to Sant’Anna Institute for your 1st Italian/Art lesson. Classroom lessons are delivered in separate rooms based on subject. Lunch at leisure. This afternoon enjoy a walking tour of Sorrento, followed by a gelato making course from 5 to 6pm. Throughout your stay, some activities/field trips will be shared by both groups when relevant. Classroom lessons will always be separate based on group subject. Italian language students’ lessons in Italian, Art classes in English.

This morning walk to Sant’Anna Institute for your 2nd Italian/Art lesson. Lunch at leisure.

This afternoon, at 2PM you are traveling by train to Pompeii for a visit of this ancient city buried by the 79 A.D. eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Take the train back to Sorrento at 5.30PM

Breakfast at your hotel.

This morning walk to Sant’Anna Institute for your 3rd Italian/Art lesson then visit a local high school (11am to 12pm). Lunch at leisure. Back to Sant’Anna Institute for class followed by a visit of a local olive oil factory from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.

Today you have a full day excursion in the city of Naples. The trip includes conversation in Italian and Art lesson on site. Naples is the third-largest city in Italy, and one of its oldest, most artistic and most appetising.  The historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city is packed with archaeological treasures. Lunch at leisure.

Breakfast at your hotel.

This morning walk to Sant’Anna Institute for your last Italian/Art lesson. Lunch at leisure, then back to your hotel to pick up your luggage and board your coach for the journey back to Rome. Arrive at your hotel in Rome where you check in. 1-day metro pass to be used on Saturday.

Breakfast at your hotel, then check out by lunch time at the latest and leave your luggage at hotel.

You have the day at leisure to discover part of Rome that you haven’t seen yet, or maybe buy a last souvenir. Use your metro pass to travel around. Back at your hotel late afternoon for your coach transfer to Rome Airport.
