Since 1981, International House Madrid has offered quality teaching of English and Spanish in prime well-equipped downtown locations and is one of the city’s most respected language services providers. We place an emphasis on quality, from the selection and support of our teaching staff to the care of our students. IH offers a truly international environment where students of Spanish can mix with local students of English.

TETC prides itself in introducing an innovative quality approach to learning in Spain.

The Premium Educational Content classification is for programs specifically designed with a high educational content for Australian schools in conjunction with TETC’s exclusive Education Partners in New Caledonia and Europe

When you visit Madrid, history and Spanish language is all around you: from priceless collections of ancient artefacts to the well-preserved Los Austrias quarter built in the Hapsburg era; from the fascinating Las Letras district, home to such famous writers as Cervantes & Quevedo, to the more recent memories of the Civil War and the transition to democracy.

Madrid boasts countless museums whose collections are a treasure-trove for historians.

The tour consists of classroom lessons designed to prepare students for the afternoon guided excursions to places of interest, providing them with historical background and linguistic context.

The balance of the tour is spent visiting beautiful Andalucia including Segovia, Cordoba, Seville and Granada.

WHY OUR EDUCATIONAL QUALITY FOCUSED PROGRAMS

ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER OPERATORS’

BENEFITS TO STUDENTS (INTERNATIONAL HOUSE, MADRID)

  • Offer your students quality Spanish language lessons at a long established and recognized local education provider, based on specific Curriculum requirements and delivered by qualified teachers.
  • Offer authentic Cross-curricular programs for Modern History, Art and Geography lessons conducted in English relevant to their Key Learning Area and taught by certified teachers.
  • Offer classes in English for 100% non-language students groups
  • TETC programs are developed in collaboration with our Curriculum & Education Advisor, a qualified teacher with decades of experience. TETC closely liaises with teachers to tailor-make lessons for their students’ level of ability, interests and your relevant topics and outcomes.
  • Smaller class sizes for individualized attention – students are grouped into 2 diverse levels of ability depending on their language level. For cross-curricular groups, other subjects are taught in English in separate classrooms.
  • Accommodation in a quality hotel within walking distance from the school.
  • Local operators and accommodation providers are carefully selected by our European representative office. We only use minimum 2 stars hotels for the comfort and safety of your group, unless specifically requested otherwise.
  • All dinners are always included – food quantity and quality are equivalent to adult groups’ standards.

BENEFITS TO TEACHERS & SCHOOL

  • You are busy teaching. Send us your risk assessment document and we will complete the tour section for your perusal. We are familiar with our overseas venues, hotels and locations and able to cover more details. This will assist you with all important H&S angles.
  • A school tour is no teacher’s holiday, you are on duty 24×7: Teachers are accommodated in single hotel rooms, unless specifically requested otherwise.
  • All dinners are always included – looking for a restaurant able to accommodate a group is NOT something you want to experience with a group of hungry teenagers at the end of a long and exciting day.
